Welcome to Gifu Prefecture.

Gifu Prefecture is located almost in the center of Japan. There are two major regions—the Hida area in the north and the Mino area in the south. Surrounded by majestic mountains, the Hida area is home to the World Heritage of Shirakawa-go village, a lot of hot spring villages and historical traditional town in Takayama.
The Mino area has some traditional town of Gujo Hachiman and Magome village as famous Nakasendo Trail.
