Welcome to Iwakuni

Iwakuni is a city located in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan.

Tourists from both Japan and overseas often visit Iwakuni for popular sightseeing spot like the Kintai Bridge. It is a recreation of the original destroyed by the typhoon and was built using traditional techniques. Its five arches are a symbol of western Honshu. The Kintai Bridge is about 20 minutes from Iwakuni Station by bus. It also takes about 15 minutes from Shin-Iwakuni Station of Sanyo-Shinkansen. Several buses provide service from Iwakuni and Shin-Iwakuni Station to the Kintai Bridge every day.

Other poular spots are the Kikko Park, the Imazu White Snake Museum and the Castle.
